Terminals T1 and T2 at Barcelona-El Prat

Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport has two terminals several kilometres apart, and driving from one to the other can take approx. 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. That is why we ask you for the terminal or, if you are not sure, the flight number: with that detail we check which terminal your airline uses and the chauffeur waits for you in the right place.

Autolux is based at El Prat, so we can cover arrivals and departures at any hour as long as they are pre-booked. The drive from the airport to central Barcelona is about 15 km and usually takes approx. 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. To Vilafranca del Penedès, where our offices are, allow approx. 40-50 minutes on the motorway.

How pick-up works on arrival and departure

On arrival, the chauffeur waits for you in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name, helps with your luggage and walks you to the vehicle. Our chauffeurs always wear a suit and tie, speak more than one language and work with discretion, which executives and travellers stepping off a long flight tend to appreciate most of all.

For departures, we collect you from your home, hotel or office at the agreed time and drop you at the departures area of the correct terminal. If you are travelling with a lot of luggage, professional equipment, pushchairs or skis, tell us when booking and we will suggest the right vehicle, such as the Top-Van, a minivan for up to 8 passengers.

Transfers to Girona, Reus and Lleida airports

Besides El Prat, we run transfers to Girona-Costa Brava Airport, Reus Airport and Lleida-Alguaire Airport, from Barcelona, between airports or to anywhere in Catalonia. Girona is about 100 km from Barcelona (approx. 1 h 15 min) and Reus about 110 km (approx. 1 h 20 min), always depending on traffic. These are common trips for travellers who fly with airlines that use the regional airports.

These longer trips are typical when a flight leaves from Girona or Reus and the traveller is staying in Barcelona, on the coast or in the Penedès. With a fixed price from the moment you book, you know exactly what you will pay even if there are hold-ups on the motorway, which is not the case with a taxi and its meter.

What to tell us when you book

The more complete the booking, the smoother the transfer. We ask for the basic trip and passenger details, especially when you book for someone else, such as a client or an executive from your company. You can book by phone, by email at reservas@autolux.cat, through our app for Android and iOS or through your web account.

For companies, each transfer can be invoiced by department, cost centre or reference, which makes things simpler when many employees travel. Customer service is available in Catalan, Spanish, English, German, Italian and French, so a visiting traveller can also speak to us directly in their own language if they need to.
